AVIC Hotel Beijing

I would like to provide a review of the Avic 4-star hotel in Beijing. Despite its 4-star rating, I must express my disappointment with the overall experience at this establishment. Firstly, it is worth mentioning that the pool was closed for repairs during my stay. Surprisingly, there was no prior indication of this on the hotel's booking page. This lack of transparency was quite disappointing. Secondly, although the staff members were able to communicate in English, there were frequent instances of miscommunication. For instance, I was stopped by the hotel security after stepping outside for a cigarette on my way back to my room. This incident could have been avoided with clearer instructions or signage. On a positive note, the Chinese restaurant at the hotel exceeded expectations. The food, service, and quality were all top-notch. However, it is regrettable that the staff did not inform me about the availability or timing of the western buffet. This lack of information was a missed opportunity. While the staff members were generally polite, there were issues with the hotel's Wi-Fi, rendering it unusable for both my girlfriend and me. This inconvenience was quite frustrating. Regarding the room itself, it was satisfactory, but I must mention the presence of a cheap, outdated TV. This outdated technology did not meet the standards one would expect from a 4-star hotel. In conclusion, based on my experience, I would not choose to stay at the Avic 4-star hotel again. It simply does not meet the standards that one would expect from a hotel with a 4-star rating.

Great rooms, average food, customer service is great except for the WiFi sucked so much. All in all great accommodation so far from essential goods and services. The room service is pretty average.... the coffee needs improvement also...

I stayed 3 nights and it was about $400 all together. They provide a decent breakfast, no complaints. I tried using the pool twice but the first time i apparently didnt have compression shorts so they wouldnt let me in. The second time was on saturday and apparently the pool isnt open on the weekend? Lastly this hotel has good location for getting on the subway because traffic in Beijing has to be the worst in the world! OH! they have the butt sprayer on the toilet too!! First time using one of those
