Beijing Exhibition Centre

This hotel do not have room service, restaurant, concierge facility and a fitness centre/spa. The hotel is inside a compound housing polic office and the entry of taxi is not permitted. You have to walk it over. The rooms do not have enough lights and almost dark. The bathroom floor is slippery.

We weren't very happy here. Not a tourist place for sure. It was 41 degrees outside in April and the hotel had no heat on. The front desk kinda shrugged and said "no one has heat." We asked them to get us a taxi early one Sunday morning and they said they couldn't. Suggested we walk to the man street to hail one. Problem is the hotel is in the middle of the Exhibition Centre compound and about a ten minute walk to the street where there were no taxis and we had to cancel what we were doing. The place is quite run down, grundgy, and reeks of cigarettes. Only good thing was the buffet breakfast in the adjacent restaurant which was 58y but very good.

Very good rooms, comfortable, efficient surroundings and a good bar in the hotel and restaurant nearby. Clean, and a good place to start from. Well situated with western food outlets nearby if you want it.
