Beijing Marriott City Wall

Just finished staying three nights. The hotel itself is okay, a little outdated, but comfortable. However, I didn’t encounter one person on their staff that was friendly, courteous or helpful. In example, a simple request for some ice to a young lady was received with an ugly sneer as if I was a complete bother.

We stayed here during our time in Beijing and the location was genuinely very good, easy to get around and close to everything we needed. The lobby area was handy, especially with the 24/7 shop downstairs for snacks and drinks. The breakfast buffet was better than expected for the price, with a solid range of options and very reasonable cost. The main downside was the air conditioning. It didn’t work properly, which was rough when temperatures reached around 29°C and the room just wouldn’t cool down. The rooms themselves are a bit outdated, but they’re spacious and comfortable enough in terms of layout. Overall, a convenient place to stay with some good points, but the A/C situation really needs to be improved.

It was out first stay in China and in beijing and we chose this hôtel. The hotel is very Nice: rooms are very big and tidy. Amazing big bathroom with everything in it: soap wash and hair dryer. All is good. The location to visit the city is perfect. Only in the evening you gotta take the metro to go out, no nothing much in the area. Breakfast for us was not included: it is around 8 euros, which is pricey for China, but totally worth it! A very good value for money, totally recommended
