Chateau De Luze

The hotel is a bit old. Interiors are torn. Breakfast is average. But rooms are huge. I have stayed there for two times. First time i got a 62m suite. Second time is a deplux. Location is convenient and easy to walk around.

Only good thing about here is the location -near CCTV building in quiet side street -but guess also debateable depend where you want to be -some of the receptionists are great speak great English etc -and really nice ladies -others terrified when they see a foreigner -live in China 10 years so some points -stayed August on business booked by someone else and not good - horrible smell in lobby when you arrive as air con switched off -save money ? was upgraded to suite but just dirty and run down -stains on sheet -big hairs everywhere -no English channels on TV -breakfast non existant -record for local Chinese Hotels --just a small room off lobby as restaurant outsourced ? -seats maybe 20 pax but all garbage food -just leave this place to people paying RMB 150 per night but not suitable for foreigners -stayed in hotels all over China -this is the worst -just stay for a laugh or something -or send someone you dont like there !!but a disgrace -guess was nice once as maybe opened for Olympics ? 2008 - but they should have cleaned the rooms since!!you can get much better in Beijing -and don't even talk about price -cleanliness is first -you can have a bad Hotel but at least be clean ??

There is no much to say about this hotel: it is not for the international client unless he speaks mandarin and he is totally integrated to the Chinese lifestyle. That said, the room I have just stayed for three days and nights (#323) has very poor lighting (no way of working at night), one of the bed lamps flashes every time the fridge's thermostat starts the compressor (it is like someone was taking pictures with flash while you are sleeping), the sink's tap handle is completely loose, there is no heating in the bathroom, and so on... as someone else already said, it is really an unusual experience.
