Dragon Spring Hotel

This hotel is about a 1-1/2 to 2 hour drive from downtown Beijing. There is not much to do around the hotel, but the hotel facilities themselves are enticing (with hot springs, a reservoir in the back of the hotel, and various other facilities such as a bowling alley; the hotel is also architecturally attractive). The restaurants in the hotel are decent, albeit not great, and it seemed leftovers from some meals were being served for subsequent meals (e.g., lunch items one day became breakfast or lunch items the next day). Service was adequate (though it is not clear to me if you can operate well in the hotel if you do not know Chinese), room size okay/furnishing average, and TV/internet seemed acceptable. But the lodging facilities could be kept much cleaner. Bathroom had prominent spider webs, dead flies under bath math, and so on. It appears like there are a lot of conferences/gatherings at this hotel. Would not recommend going to this hotel unless it is "on your way."
