Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Place was clean, a/c worked well. Good location right in front of Xinjiekou station. Close by nice shopping area. Staff spoke English sparingly, very courteous. Breakfast was varied with Chinese as well as continental breakfast. Will stay if I visit Beijing again.

All room should be smoking free but still, the strong smell remains. The air-cleaner in the room simply doesn't work. The shower swege doesn't drain so my foot was not clean at all. Overall, I couldn't find a reason I should stay again.

Located at Xizhimen subway exit D, with a convenience store and several eating joints just two steps away, Joy Inn is a pretty decent hotel. Staff can speak little or no English. Breakfast at 20 Rmb is reasonable with both English and Chinese spread. Rooms are fairly large and the beds soft.
