Lakeview

I stayed there for one night. In the morning I went for breakfast, I left the do not disturb sign on the door. I came back, someone has obviously been into the room and I could notice that because they oiled the inside of the door with a Christian cross. That scared me, I was not informed of an exorcism being done because I slept there. Not sure whether is standard practice but I never experienced this in any hotels across the world. I packed my bag ans fast ans I could and I waited in the lobby for another hour until my cab picked me up for outgoing trip.

The hotel is located within the University of Beijing, about a ten-minute walk from Ying Ming Park Station. The room is finely decorated, although a little old, but clean, personal supplies should be full, there are electric hot tubs and disposable slippers, but the refrigerator can not be locked.

It’s so so at best. It was nicer in the past. The air conditioning is horrendous and it was hard to sleep as a result. And the gym is not well-maintained. There are three treadmills, two of which didn’t work. I think this hotel has high potential but it is in decline and the management isn’t doing enough to make it deserve the stars it advertises.
