This is an old, but quant hotel in the Hutongs of Beijing. Excellently located and close to the metro / subway. Initially there was a bit of a problem with the room, in that disrespectful guests smoke in their rooms (despite being a non-smoking hotel). The smoke finds its way into the duct work and fills other rooms with the smell of cigarette smoke. The staff were brilliant in that they changed my room to a higher level, so that smoke did not enter the room. The rooms are not big, but cleaned each day. Staff are very welcoming and went out of their way to enjoy customer satisfaction.

This little boutique hotel offered me and my family more than we expected. The best surprise was that they offered supper for the guests (soup/porridge + bread). This was perfect when we arrived at the hotel on our first night in beijing and too tired to go out to get food. The room is probably a bit too little for a couple and 4 years old otherwise it is perfect for couple. It is 5 mins away from the metro station. The standard of cleanliness is higher than some of hotels in beijing.

A very reasonably priced hotel right in the hutongs, just a short walk away from Lama Temple station. We stayed at this hotel as a western couple living currently on the outskirts of Beijing. We were warmly greeted with tea as our documents were being processed, and as we reached our room, we were pleasantly surprised to be met with a small but modern room, with enough usb and plug sockets for all our devices. One thing of note; the bathroom has a blind to distract attention from all your “business”, but not much in the way of sound proofing! The proximity to the Lama Temple, as well as some cool bars (actually within the courtyard of the nearby Nostalgia hotel - Yonhge Lama Temple) made it a nice location for a short staycation in the hutongs. We would definitely go back in the future.
