Poly Plaza

Nice hotel, very friendly staff whether it be at reception, the cafe or housekeeping. Very helpful. The rooms are comfortable, plenty of room to get around with two of you and with luggage. Not the best view but not too bad either side. The decor is smart in the rooms, a little tired mostly by the bathroom, when you see the tiles but nevertheless, it was comfortable. A little bit of a communication problem when trying to get more coffee mate. There is coffee, black tea, green tea and Jasmin tea offered but only 2 coffee mates. When I approached the housekeeping lady to get a couple more coffee mates only, I got duplicates of coffee, sugar and coffee mate. Same with Reception, they sent housekeeping with duplicates of everything :-).. Otherwise, you get options of what you would like but only 2 coffee mates :-) Not really a complaint. One negative was while this is advertised a non smoking hotel, there was definitely smell of smoke entering our room every time. Even the little plug in oil freshener didn't really move it. 7-11 us just around the corner along with restaurants.

Very large room with 2 double beds, tea & coffee facilities, good A/C, desk and armchairs. USB points mean you don't need an adapter. Very clean. Powerful shower with good temperature control. Breakfast has probably the best options that we came across in our travels through China. Only down side was that it is a bit isolated from the main tourists areas.

The air conditioning is not working!! It's+26 and it's a sauna in the room! I've asked at the reception to do something a day ago, nothing was done by the end of the day!!! It's night now and I'm just wondering if I will go on staying in the hot room, or I will go down asking to move our family to another room right now! Room number 515 - the air conditioning is giving just a hot air! Overall the hotel is tired, seems for 10-15 years there were no renovations. And it's absolutely not a 4 stars hotel!
