Redwall Hotel Beijing (Deluxe Twin)

Very nice location Rooms are clean and good condition. Nice coffee shop and souvenir shop. Good tours bookable from front desk. Breakfast not bad Good value foe money. For the price and location, great for travelers who want safe clean environment

I've been to this location a few times within the past few years. There is a reason why I select this hotel. It did have good rooms and service when I visited visited in 2008. Eight years later, the quality has declined, but it is still very good. The rooms were clean, and you could purchase some food/drink in the hotel. There is even a few shops next to the hotel. The thing that is this hotel's best aspect is it's location, it is a five minute walk from the Forbidden City. It is that close. The price is decent for the service, but it is amazing for the location. I've never had an issue arriving to the hotel. You can take a cab there, or you can take the metro.

We stayed at Redwall with our two sons for two nights in mid December and found it glorious. The people were incredibly nice, spoke flawless English, the rooms were very pretty and cozy and were beautifully and tastefully decorated, as was the entire place. Had amazing, extremely informative and enjoyable tea ceremony with Ying on our second day, and lovely dinner in their excellent restaurant. Very pretty courtyard with Chinese statues, elegant but comfortable and cozy inside with couches and a wonderful fireplace where they bring you drinks, lovely ceramic vases and paintings. We can't say enough good things about this wonderful, distinctive hotel right near so much in Beijing.
