Super 8 Beijing Fang Zhuang Yin Ma

This is an okay place to stay if you want a cheap place to stay in this area. It's reasonably clean though shows a bit of wear. It has air con, good water pressure, and wifi. It does not have an elevator. There is an attached restaurant and many restaurants and shops nearby. The lighting in the room was good, the bathroom a bit dim. Outlets were a bit lacking--none next to the bed. Typically the bed was hard, but the bathroom and shower were more spacious than many budget chain hotels in China. It's reasonably close to the subway, but not on a very useful line for accessing tourist areas and the main business areas of Beijing. Super 8 is one of the budget chains in China. This is a fairly average example. These hotels generally are fine if what you need is a clean place to sleep. They rarely have staff who speak English, and the beds are generally quite hard. Towels are thin and the free toiletries are budget. One plus is that they have outlets all over the country and all over Beijing, so you can find one near your main destination. I think they are often a better choice than three- and even four- star hotels in China, which often have stained carpet in the rooms and offer extras that I often do not need anyway.
