Yuyang Hotel

The hotel rooms are clean and spacious, the furniture a bit dated. The position near the river, in a residential area, makes it nice for a walk during night time. Only inconvenience: very far from the center and touristic objectives. Serving only breakfast, you need to go out for lunch or dinner!

Stayed two night here while in Beijing. This hotel must have been magnificent once a upon a time but its glory days are long gone, now it’s a place where tour companies bring their guests to stay for night or two. The room was reasonable size and clean as was the bathroom, the carpets were tired looking and need replacing. The bed will be shock to most people as it’s hard as rock. I mean there’s no bounce in the mattress. Breakfast was very good and absolutely no complaints there.

Very tired hotel, 20 years ago was good, now only happy location - very close to shopping malls, restaurants, bars and close to historical sights, plus a beautiful promenade to walk in the evening. Hotel fatigue is: old furniture, cupboard compartment open/close a whole quest, plumbing is all old, and the plumbing system is such that it is the second quest - adjust it to the right temperature, either boiling water or cold. The whole set of soap and drizzle, nice slippers, even a bathrobe. In January, the room was cool, so you had to turn the air conditioning on at full capacity and make sure it didn't turn off. Breakfasts are very even good, and several varieties of Chinese dumplings, salads, desserts and hot dishes and classic continental breakfasts, fruit, coffee, though uncooked as instant, but drinkable. Staff at the reception, if they don't speak Russian and don't even want to use an interpreter, and English is a poor or two person. The hotel has a swimming pool, you can enter from the street, or you can through the 2nd floor, the corridor doors open with a room card. Opens from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m., but you need to be clear, it seems the opening hours change periodically. You'll need a hat for the pool, except for the swimsuit, es-no, but in the pool, if anything, you can buy it. There's no exchanger at the hotel and nowhere nearby either. In general, of course, one can recommend, but if I was not on tour, but individually, I would choose another hotel.
