Atravis Express Hotel Dongsi

My girlfriend found this hotel on a Chinese website. When I asked her the name of it, she told it to me in Chinese. Needless to say, I couldn't find it on TripAdvisor, and the pictures online look . Only after checking in, was I able to discover the real name, and only after getting to the room, was I able to realize what a pig sty of a hotel Atravis Express Hotel really is. It was late, thought, so we had no choice but to rough it out. Deciding that I should be the first to warn other travels of this disaster with China Air branding, I came here to write a review. I was not surprised to find many negative reviews. Please allow me to add mine. The room has a nice size with a window facing a wall. The room and bedding seemed old and dirty, and had holes. One pillow smelled like a dirty head and the room smells like mildew. When asked to change the sheets, the hotel reception said they didn't have more sheets. When told that the pillow cover had holes, they replied that no hotel could possibly use new sheets every time they changed them.

The hotel is really hard to find. It is deep inside a small street. I booked a standard room but they put me to basement room with no windows. Hotel staffs weren't friendly , hardly speak English and did not care guest at all. The room is really dirty and had some bug. You can find a dorm room of another hostel that better than this.

The hotel is in a very dangerous neighborhood as you will see police warning signs. The hotel does not mention it obviously because they don't want to lose business. Also you have to realize that the two managers there do not speak English and they will make you day miserable. I stayed here for four nights and trust me the rooms were left the same way as I checked in as the hotel maids had not cleaned anything there and when the manager was asked they were saying that they only clean their rooms once a week. Do yourself a favor by avoiding this hotel because the rooms are full of mosquitoes and cockroaches and asbestos. I had to argue with them to change my room twice and still they were all the same. look at some of the pictures i took which the hotel manager got really upset because i promised him that I will let everyone know about this.
