Beijing Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel

Still waiting for promised refund 4 months later. Please contact me. I have sent multiple WeChats to the number you promised me was your official and initially wrote to me on. You owe me approximately £700. You promised I would receive it within a month. We left immediately as we were very unhappy with the hotel but you had made us pay before showing us the room and the rest of the hotel. We agreed to pay the first night but didn’t even want to stay for that. I am still due the repayment for the other night 3 nights of the family room. The rest of our trip to China was so wonderful and the people so kind and honest. You seemed kind and honest too so I really want to believe this is an honest mistake but I have sent over 20 WeChat messages, several emails, messages through booking.com and Tripadvisor and made many phone calls that have not been answered. I want to believe this is error not fraud or theft. Please contact me or give me proper means to finally and properly reach you before I have no alternative but to legally escalate this. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel with very authentic charm. Our family superior room was spacious enough for our family with two kids (5/8y). The stuff was very friendly. For breakfast there was a buffet with big variety of Asian and western food. As the hotel is very open and you enter the rooms through the courtyard it was always a little bit chilly. But in the room it was possible to heat with the air condition, so it was ok.

I was lucky to start my first trip to Beijing at this hotel! I was worried because the reviews were old, but the friendly staff greeted me as I came and introduced the room when checking in, and the excellent communication in English was very good. It was a traditional house on Hutong Street in Beijing that I had imagined, so I felt like the main character in a Chinese drama☺️ Breakfast was included, and it was delicious, including dumplings, fried rice, various hams, breads, and fruits, and I ate two plates.. haha. It was cold, but the room was very warm even without the heating on because there was something like a rod on the wall. I was touched by the staff giving me green tea as a gift when I checked out and seeing me out the door. I definitely want to visit this hotel again on my next trip to Beijing! As the name suggests, I was double happy haha. May you continue to prosper ^_^ Thank you~
