Beijing Jingyi Hotel

This time back in Beijing to stay at the Kyodo Hotel. This hotel is located just outside the North Sanyuan and, to be honest, its price is high, including its breakfast price. Worse was my experience one day when we found water on the toilet floor and had penetrated under the carpet in the living room, ran to open the door for their repairman with slippers that stepped on the wet carpet, and I fell and bruised my knee. The people they came to tossed from dinner until the middle of the night and didn't look for the source of the leak, then they asked us to move now to a room on another floor. We were so sleepy at the time, and since we had been in that room for more than ten days, and the contents of our luggage scattered throughout the room, moving to another room would take a lot of time and effort, we repeatedly begged if we could just go to bed with important things and move tomorrow, but they simply refused. We had to move overnight and fell asleep late again because of the emotional impact. Even worse, when we subsequently complained to the hotel, they said that the leak was caused by us throwing toilet paper (that's what wipes our ass on) into the toilet. Because they found toilet paper deep in the toilet drain, they had to ask the authorities to do tests to confirm that it was thrown in. By the way, the toilet flush is still fine all the time.

Stayed here during summer time in July and the hotel had a beautiful decor. Beds were very comfortable, interior was beautifully Oriental and check-in was quick. There’s lots of restaurants situated in the hotel itself: a tea house, a main restaurant and a Chinese restaurant. However the Chinese restaurant was very pricy. I would recommend a restaurant beside the hotel selling spicy Chinese food. There’s a Walmart and huge supermarket building nearby selling Su Ning Electronics as well. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. But if you’re looking to visit the city centre, be prepared to take a 40 min taxi ride which I did.

The hotel in very close to the center of Beijing. The rooms are quite comfortable with King size beds and a good bath room with shower etc. Room was clean. However, room door did not close automatically and the quality of the breakfast was rather poor for roughly 6 Euro.
