Courtyard Beijing Northeast

I am a "lifetime Titanium" Marriott member and have stayed at Marriott hotels ranging from the lowliest Fairfield in Pork Corners Kansas to the St Regis in Bali and the Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong (my favorite anywhere). I think of Courtyards as "just a place to sleep" but the CY Beijing NE always manages to surprise me in a good way. Friendly, great service, fine conference facilities, and often a personal touch. Choy's is a nice casual and consistently good restaurant. Once, during a longer stay, I asked for a mini-fridge in my room (so I could stockpile diet cokes --- like most Marriott properties they serve Pepsi products, and stores there mainly sell Coke Zero equivalent--- so when I get Diet Coke I stock up). It was delivered promptly and I explained why I wanted it to an asst. manager. two months later when I showed up for a 2 night stay I found a mini-fridge in my room with six cans of Diet Coke! Not many Beijing hotels (or anywhere else for that matter) pull off that level of service. Also on the way to the airport. The Courtyard hotel is closed. The Nejing Marriott NE is almost as good.

We had a very good stay at this hotel which is only 15 minutes, (45 rmb taxi) from the airport. The 2nd floor Mo Mo cafe had the complimentary buffet breakfast which was very tasty. Many local flavor foods such as BJ pancakes + pastries + a large salad & fruit dishes. The EL does not open till 10am for beverages, ( EL chairs are abet dated) The EL happy hour is from 5:30- 7:30, but wine & beer served till 9:30. The room was good size & clean, quite a few mirrors !. A very nice 3 day stay at reasonable prices.

This hotel is a good place to stay in the tech district. I recommend going to the spa, the technique is good, it leaves you energized for work. Ask for Linda, I think her employee id was 191, she had the best technique.
