DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Beijing

Excellent service and warm staff, especially Jimena!

This review is made on behalf of Mr. Tan T.K. Stayed here a few times while in transit. The property has completed its renovation, and the rooms are now in better condition. I was pleasantly met with Mr. Elijah Wong at the Executive Lounge. He has such a remarkable memory that he recognised me from afar. He is blessed with a pleasant countenance and extends warm and friendly gestures not only to me, but also to other guests who arrive at the check-in desk. He handled the registration process professionally and remained calm and composed even though guests were streaming in. He also provided very patient assistance in helping me check on the issues I encountered with the Railway 12306 App. When the problem remained unresolved, he sought clarification through the app's support channels to explore what else could be done. I truly appreciate Elijah's willingness to go the extra mile to help guests when they need it most, especially when the stress of changing transportation arrangements is involved. This is certainly beyond the scope of his duties, and I would like to compliment him on his outstanding concierge-like qualities, in addition to his excellent work as a member of the Executive Lounge team. Keep it up, Elijah, as you continue to bring warmth to Honors members who have the privilege of meeting you at the Executive Lounge and experiencing your service excellence.

I’m both Hilton Diamond and Marriott Titanium. This time I tried to do a comparison between Beijing Lize Sheraton and Beijing DoubleTree since both are rated about the same, the prices are the same, and both are in the west side so I can decide which one to stay going forward when I visit this area again. After i checked in, I was surprised that the hotel doesn’t recognize my Diamond status and no suite upgrade even suites are still available to book. When I stayed at higher end hotels like Waldorf, Conrad, and hiltons, I was always upgraded to a suite due to my Diamond status. The room at DoubleTree is also kind of dated and smaller comparing to the Sheraton. The same can be said for the executive lounge. Later I’ll more about their breakfast and executive lounge food. I’ll add my findings later.
