Grand Hyatt Hotel Beijing

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Beijing with my family, including my parents. We requested two rooms close to each other, and I had emailed the hotel about this request a week in advance. However, when we checked in, the front desk took an unexpectedly long time to find available rooms that were close to each other. In the end, we were assigned two rooms that were quite far apart. This was very inconvenient, especially when traveling with young children and elderly parents. Also, in one of the rooms, I used my Goh benefits, but unfortunately, I did not receive any of the benefits. On the positive side, the hotel’s location is great and very convenient for getting to the places I wanted to visit. The food at the club was also excellent.

This hotel offers a very convenient location close to the central pedestrian street, though it has a distinct business feel and caters more to a Western clientele, which can make it lose some of the authentic Beijing charm that some tourists might be looking for. While the breakfast (along with the general dining and bar options) is quite expensive, it's still highly recommended for its massive variety of sweet and savory choices. The rooms, however, could use a little modernization to avoid feeling a bit dated for a five-star property.
