Grand Mercure Beijing Central

The large hotel is within walking distance to the main shopping mall area and very central, just a short ride from the main tourist sites and around charming hutong clusters. Our rooms were well furnished with standards expected of a hotel of this class. It’s good, but also didn’t surprise us in some way. There is a good Chinese eatery right next door that opens early and till late, as well as a convenience store and cotti coffee. The bar in the lobby doubles as a mini Starbucks counter which is a nice touch. We didn’t get a hotel breakfast as we figured (correctly) the eatery downstairs will be more than sufficient for us.

Very well appointed room with excellent air-conditioning and very clean. There are 2 restaurants both serving excellent food and the breakfast buffet offers a very wide selection of dishes. The hotel is nicely located to several major attractions so good for both business and leisure travelers.

The hotel was good with the furniture was a bit bad, with the staff was very helpful, patience, but I eat gluten free food, but at the restaurant only the first three days had bread gluten free, since I got only cookies gluten free
