GreenTree Inn Beijing Xueqing Road Business Hotel

We visited China to be with our niece who's working there and lived very close to the hotel hence the choice. The staff have very little English with no option of meals. The rooms we had are a reasonable size with TV but no English language channels, the water was hot and we had 2 free bottles of water a day. The rooms were clean but with faults the shower as much water going up as coming down on our longer stay. The 1 night stay we had no windows so on the 2nd stay we paid a bit more for a window I went to the room opened the curtain and found a window with a concrete wall outside covering all of it. I went to complain and was shown a 2nd room with another full length wall but with a slightly bigger gap and the room was in a worse condition so we stayed put. The bed was comfortable and we didn't spend much time at the hotel anyway. It had free wifi but it was slow and we lost signal several times. It is a cheap hotel with no frills at all, would I stay again no but I'm in my 50s now and need/ prefer more comfort we stayed at another hotel a few miles away and also 2 in other Chinese Cities which I will review later which were a much higher standard for a little more.
