The hotel is located close to Beijing's main attraction, the Forbidden City. You are greeted by a beautiful lobby as if you are in a prestigious hotel under become your location and stated standards. It's not like that. On our way upstairs, the first thing we noticed was the unbearable smell of cigarettes all over the hall. I don't know if they smoked in the room or directly in the lobby - but somehow there was nothing to breathe. Once in the room you can note the authentic mahogany floor. He also greets you with smudged, tattered patches, clumps of dust somewhere and general "historical" fatigue. Then walk to your bed and note that one of the pillows is like it's filled with rocks. I'm not exaggerating, there really were some pellets like small pebbles. Not the first and second photos you can see the note paper lying on the bedside table. Unparalleled generosity - two whole leaves! And on the second art either from the previous guests or from the cleaning lady. Nice to meet you, thank you! By the way, there was this note paper in a very sticky case. I don't even want to know what he was wearing. But back to the entrance. Neatly behind the door you can see the broken wall breached in an incomprehensible way. Apparently it's a very subtle detail, since the hotel management doesn't notice it. On your right hand you can appreciate a few glass shelves, carefully sheltered by dust, some dried liquids and who-knows-what else. The wardrobe was also remembered to dust serviceably for the sake of highly respected tourists. Let's go shower! There you will be met in places by a blackened bathtub, a broken cork against it, cracks in the walls, incomprehensible marks on the ceiling. The mirror around the edges is very beautifully framed by an intricate pattern of black and brown rust. From the hotel itself you are entitled to a bonus - an orphaned piece of soap and two dusty tubes with the cheapest shampoo. Thanks for that. The towels are in a disgusting state. One was holey at all, dragged around the edges. The second had incomprehensible stains of grey and yellow. Most of the outlets in the room are also in a state of disrepair. The air conditioning kept clicking. This is not only annoying, but also a security concern. Because it's not clear if it's short-circuited or not? With that wiring condition. The tea in the room must have been the cheapest. A Chinese hotel should feel that way about tea... Soundproofing is also disgusting. The room is either above ours or next door to a Chinese family. It felt like they were jumping directly over our heads. Breakfast is sad, too. Maybe it's a matter of taste, but when impressing the hotel and seeing the dishes - the appetite was resolutely lost. Grape juice is a separate topic altogether. This is the nasty juice I've never tasted in my life. Go around this hotel. He's not worth his money, he's only trying to take favors. I'm genuinely surprised how he hasn't already accumulated a ton of negative reviews.

Location Location Location!!! Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, Tiananmen Square, the Palace Museum and the Forbidden City. Traffic is a nightmare so walking is your best option in this area. Hotel room was upgraded. It was the one with the extra space and the sofa. Dated but comfortable. Slight smoke smell in this hotel, but that seems to be a common thing in China. Lots of restaurants in the area. The nights were a little cool so the hotel delivered a stand up heater for the room which was great! Hallways were very quiet. Didn’t really see people while staying in this hotel!

To get started, how to get there: You can buy a phone card where you pick up luggage, it's 200y On the way out, you have the airtport express train sign for 25y My phone didn't allow me to, but I advise you to download Alipay and pay with it, it's easier. Otherwise, you go to the ticket office and tell them your final destination. It will give you a single-use card, to pass contactless at the entrance and insert at the exit (it will be swallowed) Atm on the right exiting the arrival area The metro is also to the right, an escalator that descends 2 floors Take the vending machines before the entrance gate 25y airport express to Dong zhi Men 30mn journey Departure 15:05 (2:40 to get out of the plane) Once you take the subway in the center of Beijing, it will be 3y Jade garden hotel: decent room clean bed, carpet is room the bathroom is aging, there are 2 bottles of water offered per day, an umbrella available, as well as slippers and bathrobes. Fridge leaks, but it works There is tea and coffee, but impossible to connect the teapot, because the line is too short This had already been said by another traveler Otherwise, the hotel is close to the forbidden city. It seems it took me, like, an hour and a half, to get to the hotel, since the express airport left. The breakfast knead is okay, there is choice, but it is a little expensive for the country, 69y The most is during the visit of the forbidden city, you exit, you turn left, always straight up to the wall and then left and you are at the entrance 😉 One more thing, everything must be booked in advance in Beijing, the check is done with your visa, if you have a reservation, you pass. And if you plan to book the night before, well, it's dead, it's at least three days before. Otherwise the Chinese are all very nice, I've never seen this elsewhere
