Jingshan Garden(Forbidden City

You won't believe you're visiting a city of 22 million people when you sit in their courtyard. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but that's because the courtyard is the big attraction. Serene and quiet, it's a good place to sit between sightseeing excursions. The room itself was comfortable and the bathroom very modern. Breakfast, an extra 70 or 80 RMB, was well worth the money. Location is great, right in a hutong and next to Jingshan Park. Only downside is that it's a 15-18 minute walk to the nearest subway stop, but through the hutong it's a very interesting walk with local folks going about their business. Overall highly recommended.

A totally cute boutique hotel in Beijing right next to Jingshan Park. Very charming with an idyllic courtyard and super friendly staff. The rooms were clean and the facilities were very good. The wifi was not quite as good and the beds were a bit hard.

A beautiful place to sleep in Beijing. You can breathe Chinese culture, peace and well-being. Very kind staff, wonderful, beautiful rooms and strategic location next to the forbidden city. Other than big hotels, if you want to live a real Chinese hutong experience you have to come here!
