Charming hotel located within 5 minute walk to subway station. Main Street is full of shops and restaurants. A lot of attractions are within 20 minute walking distance, or you can take subways or tuk tuks. The area is closed to cars so taxis are hard to get, but the hotel will help call a car for you when needed and the car meets you at the entrance of the pedestrian area. Staff here is helpful, although depending on who is on duty at the front, sometimes English is difficult (it’s like this everywhere in China though). Room is clean and a breakfast is good.

It is a very nice characteristic chinese hotel in a very nice characteristic popular but central neighborough, close to the subway (lines 6 and 8) and to some useful bus lines. The chinese breakfast is very abundant (all you can eat) and various and tasty; you can take also european toasts with butter and jam, cookies, milk and coffee. I paid around 45 euros per night. On the other hand, just a person in the staff spoke English (very well), but she was at the reception only at my arrival. The other people in the staff spoke English very badly, and besides through an electronic Translator. So, for instance, they tried to be helpful to book a visit to the Forbidden City for me, but they failed to give me the right indication of time and of place... Besides, the cleaning of the room and of the bathroom was not at the top (but it is an almost cheap hotel: I paid around 45 euros per night)
