Mercure Beijing Downtown

Best thing about this hotel is the location. You can walk out to the local shopping mall. Or you can take a taxi to more outlets further away (Ubers are so cheap). Bedroomswere fairly basic but comfy. We had a room overlooking the car park so no view but no real noise. Breakfast was average. Drinks in the hotel bar were very expensive and sometimes the white wine was served warm and the measures were tiny. Staff really tried their best to help with directions and advice. For a special night out I would definitely book the restaurant on the top floor of the Park Hyatt hotel. Not cheap but boy it was an utterly breathtakingly stunning location for our anniversary meal with great food and wonderful hospitality.

Good value for money, spacious rooms and very sumptuous

It was a pretty well-done hotel in Beijing. Location was fine, the rooms were fine. But the toiletry has a little "breathing-spot" on the top so if you are doing your business, your roommate might smell it(just a little). Also the place for the hairdryer was strange. My roommate and I spent a night finding the hairdryer and instead found it in the cabinet. Wow. That's crazy. The noise level was not bad but not good. If you are shouting, the others might hear you, so you better stay quiet. Dining? Practically perfection, but few of my friends got sick after drinking the milk there. Recommend you to just get some tea or juice instead. But overall it is ok.👌
