Tailong Plaza Hotel Beijing

I stayed at the Beijing GLIVE (also named Jingtailong) for four nights as a solo traveller. I paid 55 EUR a night which didn’t included breakfast. Breakfast is optional and 68 Y extra per person and breakfast, ticket is purchased in the lobby. Chinese breakfast, I only appreciated the yoghurt, cereals, coffees and pineapple juice so I preferred to eat outside at a Starbucks close to the attractions of the day. Managers spoke English, the staff who didn’t speak used a translating app. The standard and cleaning of the room was good. I booked a double room but at check in they upgraded me to a suite, not sure about the difference though. Every day they left two bottles of water for free. A deposit of 1 500 Y was upon arrival paid with a MasterCard, AmEx wasn’t accepted. The deposit was refunded onto the credit card 3 or 4 days after check out. Overall a good option, good metro communications but if you want an international breakfast you have to look elsewhere.

One of the worst place, I’ve ever stayed. Smelly room, hard bed, zero Service, smelly and dirty wash area, no toiletries,they do not have restaurant, no care from any one in the Hotel & no one understand any language other than Chinese, Remember, it is very difficult to get taxi for the Airport. Only the best part is lots of eating area in the same & neighbouring building, just outside their main gate & Qianmen Pedestrian Market Street near by.

The hotel is located close to the Forbidden City and Tiannamen Square; additionally, there are many lively and interesting pedestrian streets with many places to eat nearby. The hotel is certainly unremarkable and situated on a very noisy road, but the location compensates for this. Breakfast is taken in a small restaurant a few doors along from the hotel, and is fairly basic. Rooms are OK :everything worked although as mentioned, sleeping was difficult in rooms facing the road as traffic was relentlessly noisy. There is a small bar in the lobby area. There is no safe in the room, which was annoying. So, a basic hotel in a good location-fine if you don't expect luxury.
