Golden Phoenix Hotel Beijing International Airport

Stayed here on a group trip and do not recommend. Rooms are old and moldy. I did love the massage chair though and hotel restaurant food was plentiful and good.

Good Budget Option Near Beijing Airport I stayed at Golden Phoenix Airport Hotel in Beijing and was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the previous reviews. In my experience, the hotel was much better than expected. One of the biggest advantages is the free airport shuttle service. When you arrive at the airport, you simply need to contact the hotel staff, and they will provide clear instructions and arrange the shuttle for you. The process was very easy and convenient, especially after a long flight. The staff were very kind, warm, and extremely helpful throughout the stay, which made the experience even more pleasant. The hotel could certainly benefit from some refurbishment, as parts of it are a little dated, but it was relatively clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also perfectly acceptable and provided a good start to the day. The internet connection was not very fast, but this seems to be a general issue in Beijing rather than something specific to the hotel. Overall, I would not necessarily choose this hotel for a business trip, but for travelers and tourists looking for an affordable place to stay close to Beijing Airport, it is a good budget-friendly option and offers good value for money.

This hotel is advertised as 4‑star, but in reality it felt closer to a 2‑star experience at best. While the bedding was clean, the rest of the room was dated and tired. The shower head leaked badly, making the bathroom unpleasant to use. The location is also very isolated, with nothing around it, which made the overall experience feel even more inconvenient. We arrived just after 2.45am on 10 April and were greeted by a male receptionist who was disinterested and rude. When we asked a simple question about breakfast times, he curtly replied that it was “on the ticket” and grumbled instead of providing any basic customer service. There was no warmth, professionalism, or effort to be helpful. The male toilet near the reception was disgusting and dirty for a hotel, let alone a 4-star rated. Three out of 5 urinals were blocked! Overall, the lack of maintenance, poor service, and misleading star rating mean I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others.
