Motel 168 Nanjing Han Zhong Road Inn

Staying in Nanjing for a night or two this hotel offers a clean room, a nice bathroom and a (very) comfy bed. For a long stay the room could get cramped and there's little within walking distance beyond some nearby restaurants but it's fairly near Xinjiekou if you want to stretch your legs. As for the staff beyond checking in and out I had no requests from them, though service was prompt, so I can't review their service fully (I get by in Chinese so can't rate their English either). I can say I didn't get a smile from anyone! Overall this is a good budget hotel which I would consider again unless I found somewhere with equally comfy beds closer to Xinjiekou Metro.
