Chongqing Dlt Hotel

The hotel has rated as 4 start hotel without Gym, no swimming pool, they do have a KTV entreatment at the basement, where the noise coming from in the night. The centre air-con might not deliver cold air, only wind blows out with the big noise. When we checked with the technicians, they simpley told us it should be that way. The housekeeping didn't bother to clear the room everyday, you have to prepare yourself to wash the tea cups, bring out the garbage every morning. The breakfast got few oily Chinese style fried dishes, tea and coffee with some interesting smell.

The location is behind the Great Hall a big tourist attraction but it's also at the top of a large hill and you need to walk up that huge hill every time you go back to the hotel. Also as an added bonus it's on a very busy road where there is a good chance you could get run over just trying to get back to your room, not a great set up. Not one person spoke english and if anyone calls you there is a very good chance they can't even get a call through to your room my office tried many times unsuccessfully. They advertise air conditioning but they didn't turn it on despite the fact it was very hot in the rooms. I'm told that this was a timing issue and that they only turn the air on in the summer months but it's not advertised that way the room I booked said it has air. The hotel and rooms are very nice maybe 4 star this is a very beautiful building just with no services for none Chinese travelers. I will never book there again.

We stayed as a group of four at this hotel for one night before our next trip down the three gorges. Lovely clean hotel, nice staff, good breakfast. In a convenient location, we had our own tour guide and transport so didnt need to rely on finding our way around. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area.
