DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing North

We have just stayed at the Doubletree Chongqing North for three nights and we had a wonderful stay. Arriving late, we appreciated a smooth and efficient check in. We were given our usual Doubletree cookie and a fruit hamper which was a lovely touch. As a Gold member, we were upgraded to an Executive room for free. The room itself was huge! It was really comfortable, the bed was amazing and had a great night’s sleep. The bathroom was great and had a separate shower and a bath. There were lots of amenities so no worries if you forget anything with you. Room was cleaned daily and were given two water bottles when room was cleaned. I would say that the only downside to our room was that it smelt like smoke, I think that smoking is allowed at the hotel so a previous guest seemed to have smoked in the room before us. However, the smell had one after the first night. Breakfast was great and was lots of choice, both Chinese and Western. We also used the Executive Lounge for their Happy Hour. This was a lovely spread of local food and some alcoholic drinks (beer, wine etc). Sadly we didn’t have time to use the spa or pool facilities but will be sure to check them out next time. The staff at the hotel were so hospitable and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and even gave us a takeaway breakfast on our check out morning as we had an early flight. Overall, would fully recommend this hotel and will stay there again on my next visit to Chongqing!
