Grand Metropark Hotel Chongqing

I was in this hotel in connection with a business trip to Chongqing. Our group chose it because it hosted a conference that we attended. The hotel's rating left much to be desired (on booking.com it is below 7 out of 10). In fact, this is a modern hotel that is quite consistent with the level of 4-5 stars. The rooms are bright, spacious and have all the necessary amenities. A good varied breakfast, although almost all the food is Chinese. There is a swimming pool. The hotel accepts payment by UnionPay card and cash. There are English speaking staff. The disadvantages include poor sound insulation: you can hear noises from the corridor and from the street (stock up on earplugs). In addition, you need to take into account that the hotel specializes in hosting various events, which affects the composition of the guests. The hotel is located far from the city center, but not close to the airport. However, not far from the hotel there is a station of the metro line that leads directly to the center, and in the other direction leads to the airport.

I enjoyed my stay here for 6 nigths, can't think of something to complain about. My room is huge, cleaned everyday to a point I think my bedsheets were replaced daily. Every afternoon when I return to my room from work, my bed was cleaned spotless without any wrinkles so it get me thinking "hmm did they replace my sheets again?". Enough lights in the room it doesn't feel dark like other hotels. Breakfast was good too and dinner buffet is very reasonable with lots of choices including crabs and seafood. The spicy noodle in the restaurant was one of the best we tried in Chongqing - I only tried it on my last day and I kinda regret not trying the noodle as soon as I arrived because it was really good. Location is ideal too - it's very close to the bus station where you can get off from the mall using bus# 7. Customer service? Perfect! Colin Qiao was very helpful in giving me suggestions where to buy a duffel bag and he also helped me call a taxi from hotel to the mall and gave me a souvenir doll when I checked-out. This hotel is highly recommended and I will not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip.

Stayed here in late October 2017, a very nice clean hotel, the highlight is the size of the rooms which are enormous, and well appointed. Comfortable bed, and breakfast is a large choice Recommended hotel if staying in Chongqing.
