Chongqing Grand Hotel

- Stayed here for 11 nights. - Great and spacious room. - Relaxing beds. - Decent bath but I was able to touch the ceiling with my head. - Room at the 14th floor = good view. - Chinese breakfast was pretty disappointing with hot noodles and hot fruit juice... (pretty strange for European visitors) - ATM available at the first floor. - Good and friendly housekeeping. - Rooftop terrace at the 23rd floor. - WiFi was good as well as the TV and its remote. - Airconditioning worked well. - Fridge with freezer is present - Cheap hotel for us, expensive for Chinese people. - Rating 3.5 / 5

Chongqing Grand Hotel 2 nights in 2 single bed room and 2 nights in a king size bed room which is more money for the identical size room. No English spoken at the front desk and they had trouble with my credit card. The hotel is near all kinds of shopping and restaurants and close to the Metro. The wifi is slow and the TV remote is impossible to understand. The washrooms are very small, only one person at a time. The shower worked ok and a small fridge in the room for our drinks was nice. Also the air conditioning worked well but the carpets are dirty and need to be changed in the 3 rooms that I used. Hint leave your credit card in the power slot when you leave the room for breakfast to keep the power on. The elevator goes to the 23rd floor but you have to walk up 2 floors to get to the breakfast buffet. The only food that I would eat is toast, eggs and potatoes and some salad with watermelon for desert. my rating is 3 stars.

Nice hotel, with good breakfast and a quiet room on the backside of the hotel. There was free tea in the room. The hotel also provided extra soap, but you need to pay extra for that too. I enjoyed my stay here as there are several shops and restaurants nearby and even a Starbucks (for my mandatory coffee)
