Galaxy Garden Hotel Fuzhou

The building etc has not changed- since last visit- roo reasonably comfortable for a 2-3 star. I like a hard bed. I tend to arrive late at night. The receptionist could be charitably called a moron. He took 25 minutes to extract the necessary details from my passport for the form. This is at 2AM. Then i had a saga of about 15 minutes trying to get a couple of bottles of water. I actually came down and showed him an empty bottle and mimed being thirsty-- . Eventually had to use google translate. Really I think if a hotel cannot have courtesy to have a photocopier to copy the passport rather than this ridiculous process it SHOULD BE AVOIDED! Why do I go back- because this is where local company puts me though thinking of moving and paying myself.

Great position, Nice clean rooms. Little to no English spoken - but staff try there best. I think it might have had refurbish since last I was here- then I gave it 3 stars but now i think worth 4 stars.

The room was clean- the staff friendly but:- 1. Nobody speaks English ( at least not when I had problem with my wifi). 2. The air-conditioner just made a noise but didnt actually cool- was quiet hot- this was in a number of rooms- we were a group. I reported this thru a chinese colleague with no improvement the following day. 3. Chinese breakfast- I know most Chinese hotels cant make decent coffee but at least they could make it hot- fortunately there is a MacDonalds over the road for morning coffee.
