The toilet is clean but a little dim for my taste (would be better if there is a light by the shower area as well). The room and bed are clean and tidy. Some popular Chinese style restaurants and some great fruit stalls nearby. The hotel is right across the street from the famous Xiamen Software Park. So if you are doing business there this is a great location. However, I found the WiFi quite slow and insufficient bandwidth. If you are doing simple emails it would be OK. I personally found that a bit annoying.

Had a double room on the 10th floor. Bed was actually not hard as a rock (like most Chinese beds) and the floor was sparkling clean tile. The bathroom was quite large with a walk in shower. Individual a/c unit in the room allowed us to control our own cooling. We stay in JinJiang Inns all over China, so we were not disappointed.

I stayed at this hotel the last week of June 2011. This is a discount hotel. I had a double room on the third floor. The room was clean even by western standards. Maybe better. The bathroom was large and comfortable too. It has western style bathroom fixtures so no need to worry about Chinese style toilets here. The air conditioning kept the room quite comfortable in spite of the extreme heat outdoors. Xiamen is very hot and humid in summer. There were some mosquitos in the room that bothered us a bit. The hotel provides a small mosquito repelling machine that took me a while to understand how to operate. One must place a small square disk from a foil package into the repelling machine. One morning there was a large tropical insect in our room but this might happen even in a place like Florida. We were not bothered by noise at all. We could hear other guests a couple times but it was not a problem. The breakfast buffet was well kept and the food was decent. The food was Chinese fare like dumplings and stir fried vegetables. The staff was always polite and pleasant. I speak no Chinese but managed just fine. There was always one employee that could speak some English. There is a seafood restaurant one block away that is very popular with the local Xiamen people. There is also an old neighborhood behind the hotel that we wandered a few times. There are a couple small beautiful temples tucked away in these alley ways.
