Lu Shan Hotel Xiamen

My first stayed with Holiday Inn Express was last year at Pattaya and loved it, when I found out that there was one here where I needed to be in Xiamen I just booked it. I’m happy to see that the design of the room was the same which was the best in my opinion. I liked best that there was a sitting area, a two sitter sofa beside the bed. After a few hours of walking around town its just nice to make yourself a cup of coffee, sit down and relax for a while. Now the bed, bedding was the best in this hotel classification. As for location it’s the center of the island so it’s easy to get around and you’re just a few steps away from the subway.

I stayed here for a few nights while visiting a friend. It is in a good location near the main financial area and close to Minfa and the Paragon Shopping Center. There is also a great little Mexican restaurant nearby named "Tacos" that does not seem to be on TripAdvisor yet. I spent a few nights eating there as the food was delicious. The hotel staff didn't speak a lot of English but did well with their translation apps. Mary was so helpful when I was checking out, helping me to get a taxi for the short ride to the train station. She was great!

Hotel has a good location but that’s about it. We got a room on a high floor that was a bit rough around the edges and smelt of smoking. Advised by reception that the refurbished rooms on lower floors where noisy. Breakfast was bad and not really any western options. This hotel only good for one or two nights max
