Xiamen Singapore Hotel

Very good location just under Sumerset MRT, easy to access all parts of Spore. Have stayed in this hotel from Sep 20 to Sep 24. Hotel staff are friendly & helpful, room is large & clean. Will definitely recommend to stay in this hotel.

With a name like “Singapore Hotel”, I assumed that the hotel was owned and managed by Singapore Overseas Chinese, and standards would be correspondingly high. Sadly, it seemed to be a standard Chinese hotel. Staff spoke no English. The room was very small, and the bathroom was a typical glass corner affair, lacking any privacy. The windows didn’t shut properly and the curtains didn’t keep much light out. The bed itself was ok, and the room was clean. Breakfast in the morning was a depressing affair, although there were a few tables in the courtyard, which was nice. By far the best feature of the hotel is its location right next to the North Gate of Zhongshan Park, which is a real delight to walk around at any time of day. The street the hotel is on is a quieter backstreet, with plenty of local shops (and lots of fragrant flower shops), which is quite nice too. It’s a short walk to the “old town”. Check the Chinese travel agent websites to get rates far cheaper than those advertised in the hotel.

Good place near beautiful park. But breakfasts very very pure like for 2* hotel. All other also not yhe best. All pure. Hard to say that I glad to visit it again. I think not hard to come to this beautiful park some from other hotel.
