Lanzhou Legend

We walked in to the a spacious grand lobby after a long drive from Jintai. We were part of a tour group but check in was a breeze. Staying for 2 nights from 15-17 Sept 2019 in Room 913. It is a twin bedded room with views of city high rise buildings. Bed is comfortable , but pillows a little too soft for our preference. Room is small but nice and clean, well equipped with 2 bottles of drinking water and sachets of Chinese tea. Bathroom is functional and well equipped with amenities but just needs a little cleaning on the sides of the bathtub. At the Restaurant, although breakfast was arranged for 6.30am but it remained shut till 7.00am. Buffet Breakfast has a combination of western and mixed Chinese dishes, including Lanzhou freshly hand pulled noodles as well as an Egg counter for choices of omelette or sunny side egg. There is a long queue at the Noodles counter but it was worth the wait as the Lanzhou hand pulled noodles in soup tasted good. I send laundry in the morning , was expecting it back in the room in evening on same day service, but was surprised that they demand payment for delivery. Well probably that is the way their credit system work in this hotel.!!! As we are always out on tour, we did not manage to get to use any of the hotel facilities, but it was a comfortable 2 days stay !!!

Legend hotel is located in the Lanzhou city centre. The English of the reception staff is almost none, so try to use some Chinese assistance. I stayed here for 2 nights. The room was outdated with mild in the shower. I liked kettle with free tea and daily complimentary water. The room is rather small and WiFi is weak. I wasn’t able to download even 1MB files from mailbox. Breakfast bag possible early in the morning.

Stayed for two nights with an organised tour. Room was ok but the bathroom was disgusting, full of black mould. Both doors, bathroom and entrance room, rotten wood. Urgently need to be refubrished. Excellent location, 200 m. from a huge supermarket net and shopping center: Vanguard, restaurants, bank, bars. Got excellent view from the room. Kettle in the room but no coffee or sugar. Bring from home.
