Hyatt Regency

A tastefully decorated hotel, even though it was built in 2000, the building style is grand and worth savoring. As well as the location, it is worth recommending as you can see the beautiful lake view.

The hotel should proactively inform guests at check‑in about the restaurant music and outdoor performances, including when they are expected to end. I booked a lake‑view room, but half of the view was blocked. When I asked to switch rooms because of the noise and the obstructed view, the staff told me there were no more rooms available. I asked about paying for an upgrade and was told that it will be in another wing that is 5 mins away. This whole room availability conversation was proven not true later. 40 mins later, the power in my room went out while I was eating, and the phone wasn’t working so I couldn’t call the front desk. I recorded a video and walked down to report the issue, and only then was I finally moved to another room (in the same wing as current, only 2 floors above, a not a upgraded room, just a regular room!). At this point, I was very upset that the staff had claimed earlier that no rooms were available in this wing. Unacceptable. Suggestion to the hotel: Don’t lie to guests. Don’t leave a bad first impression for someone staying at the hotel for the first time. The overall hotel score would have been rated negatively if not for Herbert Liu at the front desk. He was the one who helped switch my room after the power outage and even carried my luggage from Room 2446 to 2702. Thank you, Herbert.

We stayed here as a family in May 2026. Booked a club room with twin beds. Couple things really stood out in terms of service flaws: 1. Front desk didnt give any information on the whereabouts of any of the amenities. And on top of that, she told us our room was on 8th floor and gave us the keycard without writing the room number on it. We were already on the way up and had to call hotel to find out where our room was. 2. Upon check-in at 13:30 I requested to an extra bed for the room but was told no rollaways are available. Upon return to our room at 9pm I call the hotel guest services to get extra blanket. Called a total of five times but non of the calls were answered. Called front desk in between those calls twice and no one answered as well. Had to call concierge instead and guy on the line couldn’t put me through but said to pass my request to guest services. He called back to let me know hyatt regency as a resort hotel with rooms still available either through ota or its app had ZERO extra blanket to offer to its guests. This just totally blew my mind. It was only when I brought up that I would submit a complaint to hyatt that concierge said he would forward guest services my comments. And guess what, in about ten minutes a blanket showed up. This was truly disappointing. Never would think that a resort, especially one like hyatt regency, would be so short on staff, as well as on guest room essentials like rollaway and blankets. On a bright side, club room service is on par, Although no afternoon tea is provided( aside from soda and coffee machine and some cookies in a jar) happy hour canapé is delicious. Hotel decor is a bit outdated, rooms can use a lot of improvement( tv has fuzzy analog style displays) hotel ground is nice too, with nice gym, indoor swimming pool and outdoor swimming pool. Overall i can see what hyatt regency has its category down in the hyatt world, but it really doesnt need to be this way. I would really think twice before coming to this hotel again.
