Gerry was a great host. Regal Palace is a large hotel with many room options. My hotel room was clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. View from the room over looks the city. Would stay here again.

In June 2019, I visited Dongguan on a business trip. I decided to stay at this time in Regal Palace Hotel, since the last time I stayed at Sheraton! The hotel is located opposite the exhibition complex. The rooms are large, spacious, but there is a smell from cigarettes, a luxurious bathroom, and shower. Breakfast is European, modest, grain coffee, scrambled eggs and fruit, no fish. In the evening there are a Japanese buffet and a Chinese restaurant. The staff does not speak English, but through the phone application, you can. In principle, the hotel is quite good but inferior to Sheraton for the verity of dishes, though it is cheaper than Sheraton.

This is no small place. And, there are several lobbies, so pick the right one depending on what you want to do. We enjoyed drinks in the larger space, and staff was pleasant. The hotel has put in ramps through the lobbies to help luggage go up and down steps. These were helpful, but use them carefully. I had a huge room on the 44th floor. It was very nice, and the view out the window went on forever. These require a special elevator, so leave extra time if you are on upper levels. I ate dinner in the restaurant at the hotel (through a few winding hallways), which was quite good. We had a private room. The breakfast in the lobby restaurant was also fine, yet I ate fast so I did not explore the options. Most important is that this hotel had a fairly easy walk to the convention center (perhaps 5 minutes, mostly under cover from the rain that day). Regrettably, I did not exercise this stay. I need to look for that next time, as I suspect it too would be grand.
