Sofitel Humen Oriental Dongguan

Good hotel and I like the view from hotel room and dining room at 61th floor. Small gym and pool it ok but not exclusive. Room was big and my room was in good standard. I will visit it again because of wonderful view and it's good located.

Location of the hotel is great, from outside looks great. If you are inside the rooms a not very big. The bigger problem is there is no maintenance. Many things look overused. The best days are gone. Seimming looks good but also need a little repair. They have only a big pot of tea very bad quality. The cheapest ham you can imagine. Limited fruit. In sum a basic breakfast for a 5 star hotel. Also breakfast room need urgent basic cleaning. I will not use again. This town have better hotels for less money. I would not recommend to go there. Staff may need a little more passion.

Check in process is fast, staff is friendly. Hotel is located just beside the fashion shopping mall, really accessible for me to deposit my loots and then go back to shop again. :) Big and spacious room, was given a high level room with an excellent view of the city. Nice toilet with a big bathtub in the middle. Hotel is clean and tidy. Wanted to give the hotel a higher rating until something unpleasant happened on the day we check out. I was told by the reception that I can call a taxi at the concierge area and the rate will be around 100rmb, not more than 120rmb. Then when I went down to inform a guy in the blazer on my request, he told me he has a driver and it will cost 200rmb. I was appalled and horrified by how the staff working in a 5 star hotel would do such an unethical act to get personal gain from it. In the end I just get my own transport via the mobile application - Didi and indeed the ride was only 110rmb. I hope the hotel can look into this matter.
