Cavan Hotel

LOCATION   The hotel building is a skyscraper landmark, towering high above other structures in the neighborhood. It is opposite the main road from a maternity hospital and has the usual décor and design expected for a five star hotel. Just look at the 5 flagpoles and the fountain outside.    LOBBY   Marble floors, high ceiling and grandiose lobby atrium are markers of comfort, leisure and business. There is also an onsite spa and restaurant. As we had a tight schedule, we did not have time to explore the facilities or neighboring surroundings.   SERVICE   Good service on check-in and check-out. We booked on b**king.com and were luckily upgraded when we booked 2 rooms. The lady who assisted us was Ms. Jane Shan.    ROOMS   The city view from the higher floors was magnificent. The bed was large and super-comfy with soft, smooth linen and even a PILLOW MENU! The potplant provided a touch of nature.   The bathroom was spacious, large, clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities provided. There was also a weighing scale, hand for travellers with weight limits or body limits. Privacy of bathroom can be maintained with a blind curtain.    The bathrobes were thick and first-class and the elevators were quick and plenty. Security also good at the hotel.    SUMMARY   Enjoyable stay at Cavan! Would stay again, purse-permitting.  

Nice hotel with very big luxurious rooms but it’s set in a older part of the city and is about 60 yuan and 40 minutes by taxi to the CBD. Too far for us meaning we didn’t get to the city centre. The Rocks Square is about 15 minutes walk away and that is a modern shopping mall with plenty of food options including western offerings. But, there really is nothing else around this hotel. The gym is modest with very few weights or cardio machines and operates from 0730. If you ask the staff nicely they will open it early for you though. Swimming pool is in a nice setting outside.

The customers in this place is the most horrible thing I ever paid for in my life the food in the buffet was nasty we paid they give us the bad food the old see food and when we didn’t eat that and went to eat the fresh they close the buffet turn off the light and didn’t let us get anything more we told them what that’s not nice We ask to talk to a manager and she was rude and talk to us so bad like we are no one and we stay in the hotel for a week She is the worst thing in the hotel she is more bad than the nasty food with her nasty attitude This hotel is for Chinese people and if ur not good luck for u Again She is the worst thing in the hotel she is more bad than the nasty food with her nasty attitude 🐍
