What a lovely hotel. The room (1116) was spacious and well equipped, but quite dark. I would have preferred extra lights. The view from the room towards the temple of heaven was very nice. The breakfast was very good too, especially the coconut breakfast cereal. The reception was very nice with a grand, historical feeling. The staff were also veery accommodating. One other slight issue was that the elevators were quite slow and it was unclear where the stairs were. The location was good too, all of the primary sites were accessible by Didi within thirty minutes with a short bus ride to the hutongs and Tiananmen Square.

I want to thank the hotel staff for their hospitality, attentiveness and kindness towards tourists who visited the beautiful city of Guangzhou for the first time!!!Everything was high level:check-in decoration, room cleaning, breakfast!!! I especially liked the cleanliness of the hotel, the well-kept area and the comfort of the room (special thanks to our concierge on the 5th floor number 7!!!)

The hotel is very large, Guangzhou old 5 star hotel, very good service. Our family went back to Guangzhou to visit our family and booked the elite twin room with Amex. I thought the room was a little hot, and thanks to check in Xiao Li Xiaomo soon arranged other room types for us, very attentive. Breakfast was great, varied and everything, much better than outside breakfast. The hotel is now being renovated and there will be a little noise in the room during the day. Oriental Hotel is a very good value hotel, good location and good service, we will choose here again next year
