Guangzhou Haitao Hotel

I booked a room with one large bed and the front desk tried to give me a room with 2 small beds. I wouldn't believe me until I showed him the booking and he called to confirm. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. There is a 24 hour McDonald's next door, and at night, past Mcdonald's is an alley with a large street food market.

the 1st disappointment was that theres no brakfast at all although weve paid for it. maybe it is a fauld of the tour company but the fact that the hotel doesnt have any beakfast available is nt good. the hotel itself is pretty old and the rooms are very tired...

Dear All, Be prepared to be disappointed. I believe cleartrip & its team have never visited any of the hotel available for booking on their website. The hotel & room were not even up to mediocre standards. It is always better to book with someone who is actually present on location or who has visited the place before. 1. Vegetarians - availability of food is a big problem. Also lack of English language in China makes its difficult to convey to them that you're a vegetarian. Learn basic words for vegetarian food etc. before going. Carrying own food is the best option. 2. Ensure that you carry a map of the place you will be visiting with information in English + Chinese, this makes it convenient to ask locals for addresses, information etc. 3.Learn basic international signage for it will help you in getting to places.
