Guangzhou Yingshang Hotel (Railway Station Branch)

Do not waste time with this hotel. You will be welcomed with a sewer smell at the door, As soon as you walk in the building, you will see a whole different reception area then perceived here. Of course a smoke/carpet smell will follow that, once you walk in/out the dirty elevator & get to your room. You will find a massively old need of Reno room along with more smell & stains along the floor/wall..we had couple nice looking chairs in the room unfortunately the stain & dirt that signal age/over use made them unusable. Found insects crawling, dirty tea pot, visible rust, 100% Chinese AC remote. *Also no fridge Now for the good part :D Clean bed, lights work, complementary water bottles, cheap, surrounding area has lots of stores, staff are great & helpful. I would suggest you spend a bit more & save your self the time & pain of going through this. - FYI Pictures posted here are not at all like the hotel.

I booked a room in late March. The hotel has a good location. It is near the main street, metro and bus station. Although it is old, the room was clean and the staff were kind and polite. There are a lot of restaurants (even helal) and shopping centers around with a good access to the hotel.

Basic category has very very small rooms where you can not even breathe. Impossible to stay for one person even. Hotel is located at very convenient place which makes it worth but never go for basic category. Staff is friendly. Check in and checkout process is fast.
