Hanting Hotel Guangzhou Huangshi

Ibis is always a good place to stay when it comes to Business trip. Had booked through Hotels.com and the reception asked me to cancel the booking from there only then they can offer me room there. 😂🤔 smart Chinese. They were in renovation of their reception but the rooms were as expected - Purely ibis. No doubt, location is quite far from City center but Bus & Taxis are easy to get from there. Even Metro is just 15 minute by Bus and 10 minutes by Taxi.

This hotel should not be part of the Accor Group. I have been a member of Accor for a long time and use their hotels all around the world but this hotel was very poor. It was grubby. The front desk staff were extremely unhelpful. They use antiquated pen and paper systems. I cut my visit short. It was cheap but the distance from public transport meant I spent twice the room rate on taxis over the day and a half. I will not stay there again.

Having recently joined Accor loyalty, I was quite looking forward to staying at ibis. A budget hotel is all I wanted for my visit to Guangzhou. The room was comfortable, the service was top notch and the food was excellent. My only complaint is I was blatantly told no points will be given for my loyalty programme. The city was easily accessible, and I believe people coming for trade purposes in this city will find this hotel meeting their needs pretty well.
