Impressions Pazhou Sercived Apartment

Okay, I really read a lot of bad reviews on this hotel but hey; you get what you paid for right? The room smells something like a weird local detergent but it is clean and so is the bathroom. The reception has mediocre english speaking skills but they are friendly and accommodating. The girl named CC, I especially like her. The shuttle to the Canton Fair is a plus. The hotel is situated in the heart of the city so drug stores, groceries, local restaurants, hospital, etc. are all within reach. Breakfast is....... but nothing for me to hating about. Wifi is working fine and when that is case, you will be okay overall in my book.

If you have an option to get another hotel (even if it costs a little bit more), go to another hotel. The only thing good about this hotel is that it is near the Guangzhou Fair Complex. But aside from that: 1. Rooms are dirty. I ended up with an allergy for the 5 nights that I stayed there. The rooms don't seem to get cleaned properly. The dust in the closet and in the shelves are so think you can see it! 2. Most of their staff don't speak English. Most speak Mandarin. I traveled with my father who spoke Cantonese and you would think you can use Cantonese in a GZ Hotel. But only in this hotel did everyone speak only Mandarin. If you are lucky, you there is someone on duty that can speak English. 3. The AC in our room didn't work. We were lucky that the English speaking guy was on duty and we were able to request for a room change. The AC in the other room was not very strong either though. 4. Breakfast is nothing fabulous and the restaurant area is so dirty that you loose your appetite anyway. 5. Cabs are not easy to get here. So even if it is close to the Guanzhou Fair Complex, you can't get a cab anyway! Not a hotel I would recommend

I had the misfortune of staying in this hotel (with clients) when attending the Canton Fair. Agoda rates it well but strangely my review was deleted by Agoda. This hotel advertisers that it has all sorts of amenities - but it does not. Kitchenette - yes, but not pots, pans, plates, glasses, cutlery. The stove is not hooked up. The fridge is in the lounge and there is no electrical outlet that it can be plugged into. I did have 1 coffee cup. Restaurant - NO Cafe -NO ATM on site - NO Currency Exchange - No Laundry service - NO Room service - NO Shops - No Tours - No Vending machine - No Business center - NO Casino - No Lockers - No Safety Deposit Box - No Shuttle service - No Car Hire - No Concierge - No Fitness Center - No Tennis Court - No Games Room - No Valet Parking - No Room rate included Breakfast - this was delivered to your room in the morning - it consisted of a KFC breakfast chicken burger and black coffee. When we first arrived we were told that our rooms (3 rooms) were all undergoing renovations and that we would be transferred to there sister hotel for one night. The sister hotel was even worse - the rooms had not been cleaned since the last guests left and we were told that the cleaners had finished for the day. When we talked to other guests they told us the same thing happened to them. Some of them stayed up to 7 nights at the other hotel. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
