Jockey Club Hotel

Pool was closed when we were there but we could use the pool at the Cosmoplitan which was lovely. Cheaper to stay here than some other big hotels. Rooms were very dark tho so not so nice to be in during the day. Staff all very helpful. No restaurant but heaps are close by and of good quality.

I'd describe this hotel is located in a fairly new suburb of guangzhou. The hotel is quite a bit of a walking distance from the subway and there are not many taxis near the subway if you're planning to catch a taxi. They do have a fairly sizeable shopping mall pretty much opposite the hotel which can be handy. The room I stayed in - the shower flow was much bigger than the drainage, as a result can only put it on the lowest setting otherwise the whole place would overflow water. Happen to travel during the guangzhou fair where hotel prices everywhere in the city go up at least 50% so wasn't good value for money.
