Paco Business Tianhe

This is a good 4 star budget hotel and it’s worth booking the luxury room with bathtub, has a window with city views. It’s a bit of a walk to the nearest metro but taxi is very cheap to get around. I use WeChat to book rides as it was link to my UK bank cards. The room itself does need some maintenance but the bed was comfortable and i slept well. Plenty of room for luggage, slippers were provided and bathrobe. You have to take your clothes to the laundry room to iron them and it’s free to use the washing machine and dryer but there are only 3 so there are always busy. Breakfast was great, there is a scale in reception that you can weigh your suitcase. There are only two lifts for the hotel as the others are for the other part of the building. Toiletries were provided, room service every day but as soon as step outside of your room it smells badly of cigarettes. I didn’t like that the bathroom walls was glass and you had to use the curtains to cover up because you don’t want to see people doing their business in the bathroom. Lots of restaurants around, park in front and is close to 24 hour No 9 spa place, near Grandview mall and close to Guangzhou East station, but far from airport and South station.

Alot of food stalls juz outside the hotel. 2mins to metro. 7mins to Tianhe mall. Running water from next room can softly be heard. Add a night music when sleep, will do the trick. Value for $$, for such a location.

The hotel offers shuttle service to Canton fair. Hotel room is clean and staffs are helpful. The only problem is the sound insulation system in rooms is bad. I can hear the loud speaking noise from next door.
