Stayed here for a family vacation, there were six of us so booked ourselves for three double bedroom apartments. We checked-in late as we landed at 8pm, arrived at the hotel by 9:30pm from the airport. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and she upgraded our two rooms to a deluxe room (incl living room, very spacious), as the hotel is fully booked at the time. Left with one smaller room that we booked online. So no worries.
The rooms was ok, spacious with good amenities. Decent bed with clean sheets. The bathroom was also clean. Kitchen pantry also clean, note: they only provide with basic kettle and some coffee / tea sachets with two mugs. You have to bring your own cooking utensils (pots, plates, etc) if you want to cook your own food as they dont provide them. There is an electric stove if you want to use them. We brought ourselves an electric rice cooker. The deluxe room didnt have a washing machine but our superior room does, not that we use it anyway but nice to know that it is there.
They do provide a free wifi in the room.
Room cleaning was also very efficient, friendly staff and very prompt. They came in quite early though (in my opinion), the cleaning staff is basically done cleaning by 10am.
It is true that the hallway has a very odd smell, smells of a damp clothes and some expired cooking moths, which is not good for my nose, you just have to hold your breath when you exit the elevators to your room. Its just that the hallway doesnt have an air-cond and there is no air ventilation, so you just get this really stuffy-humid condition. But once you get inside your room it was just fine.
Reception is 24hr, so that's ok. But if there is any problem with your room at night time, they cant do anything about it as the hotel maintenance staff only work during daytime. So you need to wait until the next morning.
To get to your room you need an access card for the elevator.
Facilities around the hotel are within easy reach, there is a 24hr 7-Eleven downstairs and a chinese restaurant too. Also there is a Halal pizza restaurant by the hotel entrance. If you need a supermarkets there's tons of choice available within walking distance, market stalls selling fruits and vegetables, pharmacists, hardware stores, halal restaurants too.
The location of this hotel is fantastic, everything are easily available. Easy to get a taxi in front of the lobby, but bear in mind that it is hard to get a cab during peak rush hour (around 5pm - 8pm). It was impossible to get one, if you are lucky most taxis does not want to use a meter. Metro subway maybe about 20mins walk from the hotel. The good thing about this hotel is that it's not too busy and not too isolated. So we feels safe to come back even during at night time.
All in all i would say this hotel is a good value for money. It offer that basic hotel amenities and works fine for the room rates. The room furnishing is abit outdated and the conditions does show that it's aging. But for the price we pay we can't really complain.
