Ramada Pearl Hotel

+ great view of the river and the tower (be careful when choosing the room, many options on the website) + the hotel is on the "vintage" side but some floors were renovated so, once again, careful when choosing the room. We had the Shengmei Canton Tower View Double Bed Room and it was great, situated on the 13/14th floors with a great view + big room, well equipped. + good location near transport, the river and the Opera neighborhood. + great and helpful staff. +/- the breakfast is OK ,not great, not terrible.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The swimming pool area was extremely restrictive – it felt like everything was prohibited. Guests are even forced to wear swimming caps, which makes the whole experience unpleasant and not relaxing at all. On top of that, the staff did not seem welcoming or accommodating; instead of creating a friendly atmosphere, they were constantly pointing out what was not allowed. Finally, the squash courts were in terrible condition, with a strong smell of urine coming from the restrooms nearby, making it impossible to enjoy the facilities. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel, especially for guests who expect to enjoy the pool or sports facilities in a comfortable and hygienic environment.

My wife and I enjoyed our two night getaway at the Ramada Pearl in July , especially chilling in their great outdoor swimming pool. Staff was outstanding and Riverfront room gave us fabulous views of the Pearl River and beautiful night skyline. Location within walking distance to Metro, great restaurant variety and nightlife. A fun and relaxing stay overall! Our go to hotel in Guangzhou.
