Shangri-la

I recently spent two nights at the Shangri-La Guangzhou in Pazhou for a business visit and was really impressed by the level of service throughout the property. My arrival and check-in, handled by Sophia, the leader on site, were very smooth and enjoyable. The F&B experiences showcased by F&B Director Faisal across the steakhouse, Japanese and Chinese specialty restaurants were very impressive. Throughout my stay, General Manager Vincent and his wider team took great care of my group. The Executive Lounge was particularly enjoyable, and I appreciated having breakfast there as well as conducting several meetings. My 10km runs along both sides of the nearby river were also very enjoyable, with a beautiful public running track to explore. A very impressive stay overall, and I am already looking forward to hosting a large corporate event with the team at Shangri-La Guangzhou this coming October. Thank you!

We chose Shangri-La Guangzhou because we knew it was one of the world’s most highly regarded hotel brands, and honestly, our stay lived up to almost all of our expectations. We were given a spacious room on the 36th floor since we booked Horizon Club access, and the view over the city was beautiful. Both the room and the lobby are impressive in terms of size, elegance, and overall atmosphere. The only small downside is that the hotel is starting to show its age in some areas. It’s clear that it’s no longer a brand-new property, and certain parts would benefit from a renovation. That said, it didn’t take away from our overall experience. The outdoor area is absolutely outstanding and was one of the highlights of our stay. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, and lush tropical garden filled with palm trees and beautiful greenery create a true resort atmosphere right in the middle of the city. It’s the kind of resort vibe you rarely find at an urban hotel. We spent a lot of time there and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel also offers saunas in both the men’s and women’s changing areas. One of the biggest surprises was the Horizon Club Lounge. The service was impeccable, the staff were genuinely attentive, and the food selection was far better than what we’ve experienced in most executive lounges. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy complimentary coffee, soft drinks, and snacks, and breakfast can also be served in the lounge, which provides a much quieter and more relaxing atmosphere than the main restaurant. If there is one area that could be improved, it would be the front desk staff. They could be a little friendlier, better organized, and more polished in the way they interact with guests. Overall, we had an excellent stay, and the hotel absolutely lived up to its reputation. Shangri-La Guangzhou truly reflects the high standards the Shangri-La brand is known for around the world. Even though you can see the passage of time in a few areas, the service, facilities, and overall experience are outstanding. We would definitely choose to stay here again without hesitation.

This time I brought my little friend to Guangzhou for the exam, and when Checkin met a lot of "acquaintances" to greet me. The experience of staying at Shangri-La in Guangzhou has been great in the past, and this time it's the same. This time I came to find that the elevator equipment has also been upgraded, from the original plug-in card upgrade to swipe card type, much more convenient. Upon check-in, the floor staff brought me black tea and chrysanthemum tea, and they all remember that I only drink these two teas (stomach chill not green tea), which was very moving. There was a feeling of being looked after by family. Still the favorite vegetable garden in Shangri-La's downstairs yard in Guangzhou, it thrived. thank you very much to my friend here, and my bon pals who don't know their name but remember me silently.
